Veterans Day :

Veterans Day is observed every year on November 11 to honor the services of all military veterans . Parades and ceremonies are held across the nation to honor the veterans. An official wreath laying ceremony is also held at the tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington National Cemetery.

Veterans Day History :

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, an armistice was signed to end hostilities between warring nations in World War I. The day was commemorated as Armistice Day next year by US President Woodrow Wilson. After the World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War the day was used to celebrate all veterans and the name was chagned from Armistice Day to Veterans Day.
